Annaliese Saathoff is a senior history and social science secondary education major at Nebraska Wesleyan University; with minors in theatre, communications, and political science. She is studying to be a high school social studies teacher. At Wesleyan, she was a member of Delta Zeta sorority where she served as Risk Management chair and the Panhellenic Delegate for her chapter. She was an Ambassador, giving tours of Wesleyan’s campus. Annaliese was also a member of the Nebraska Wesleyan University Choir. Annaliese studies voice under Dawn Krogh and is a classically trained coloratura soprano.
In high school, Annaliese was a member of Lincoln Southwest Show Choir. She received Best Soloist in 2013. She was involved in every theatrical production for all four years of high school. She received multiple theatre awards, including Best Leading Actress. Annaliese began dancing when she was two years old. She danced competitively for a number of years. Her favorite kind of dance was always tap. She has begun choreographing for the Lincoln Community Playhouse children’s camps and Lincoln Southwest staff productions.
Annaliese has been participating in musical theatre since she was nine years old. She has been in almost 50 productions around the city of Lincoln. Some of her favorite roles have been Polly Baker in Crazy for You (LSW), Sister Mary Robert in Sister Act (LCP), and Olive Ostrovsky in The 25thAnnual Putnam County Spelling Bee (The Stage Theatre). Although, her favorite role will always be Ariel in The Little Mermaid at Pinewood Bowl. Annaliese could not be more excited to join the Piccoli Dance Theatre team this year. She is excited to share her love of tap and musical theatre with her students much the same way that Miss Courtney shared it with her.
