Amanda Dewey is a first year Speech-Language Pathology major at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. She is a part of NSSLHA (Nebraska Student Speech Language and Hearing Association) where she often volunteers for local events that have to do with children with disabilities. Amanda has studied dance for 14 years and was an originating student at Piccoli Dance Theatre. She is a well versed dancer who loves ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical. She has passed her exam in Imperial Classical Balled in the intermediate level and participated in YAGP her junior year at PDT.
Amanda is recently graduated from Norris Highschool where she received the National School Choral award and is on the Vocal Music Hall of Fame there. She also participated in multiple honor choirs including All State choir. was also captain of the color guard team, dance team and varsity show choir her junior and senior year. The musical theater department also played a huge role in her high school career where she played two of her favorite characters, Sandy in Grease and Morticia in The Addams Family. Even during high school, she branched out to other community theaters to then play Allana in The Little Mermaid, Kate in Legally Blonde and Babette in Beauty and the Beast at Pinewood Bowl Inc. She is very excited to start this new journey at Piccoli Dance Theatre and continue to spread the love of dance.
