Alec Talbott Serious Headshot

Alec Talbott is a performer and a choreographer. He is twenty-two years old and this will be his sixth year in dance instruction. As a dancer, he is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, lyrical, tumbling, and contemporary. He has also performed in a modern dance performance, Marginalia, and in The Nutcracker three times: roles including Mouse King, Arabian, and Russian. Last summer, Alec played roles in four professional shows at the Tibbits Opera House in Coldwater, Michigan. Alec was coach for the Sapphires dance team at Norris High School, where he also be choreographed The Music Man and works with their show choir program. He works with Pius X High School as well, choreographing for their varsity show choir, Spectrum, and choreographed his third musical there last spring. He has choreographed for Freeman High School’s show choir, and North Star High School’s musical; The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Additionally, he choreographed two one act plays for North Star high school, one of which went to state and each of the ten dancers won Outstanding Actors Awards for their contributions.

As a performer, Alec has been a part of over 25 plays and musicals. Highlights include “Flotsam” in The Little Mermaid, “Billy” in 42nd St, “Peter Pan/Pied Piper” in Shrek, and “Brad” in Hairspray at the Pinewood Bowl; “Jesus” in Godspell and “Collin” in The Secret Garden at Pius X High School; “Dream Curly” in Oklahoma! at The Lincoln Community Playhouse; “Chachi” at TADA, and many featured dance roles. Alec recently graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with a degree in Companion Animal Science, where he attended on a Regent’s Scholarship. While at UNL, he was a four-year member and a one-year dance captain of the nation’s premier collegiate show choir, Big Red Singers, through which he was also a counselor and dance captain for the Nebraska Show Choir Camp. Another achievement of Alec’s is that he earned his Eagle Scout Award, with the Boy Scouts of America. Alec could not be more excited for his third year with PDT.
